AI and the educational paradigm shift: One school's response

Our learners face an uncertain future. Rapid technological advancement and the rise of AI in particular, mean that the world in 2050 will undoubtedly be a very different place to work and live. Social and cultural notions of the concept of future have placed an overwhelming emphasis on technological advancement, which means that more and better technology in schools is often cited as the future-proofing solution. This session will argue that this approach is misguided and that schools can make the biggest impact in future proofing our learners by reimagining learning spaces to better suit a skills-focused curriculum.
