On the surface, this seems rather simplistic when in fact it is not. Should we refer to tangible parameters only? Which ones? What about observations? If I refer to my experience, the appraisal system never included the students' opinions. Should they be included? Some describe student voice as an empty jug or a portmanteau term, while others believe that the feedback from the students (acting as the expert witnesses) to the right educational outcome, has the potential to provide useful lessons to pastoral leaders and enable school improvement. If so, how do we best harness it?
 
I will be using my recent research for my dissertation (MSc - Educational Leadership; University of Leicester), and my professional experience as well as literature to moderate the discussion on this topic of major importance for all the stakeholders of education: school leaders, teachers, children, their parents, as well as prospective parents.
