As multiple global crises unfold and converge, young people are calling out for an education that affirms the possibility of more just, equitable and regenerative futures. In response, a small team from UWC Atlantic and the International Baccalaureate came together for an extraordinary project: to build and give young people the education they have been telling us they need in order to survive, lead and thrive in the climate-changed world they are inheriting.

At the heart of this new IB Diploma Programme model is a transdisciplinary, exam-free, collaborative, team-taught and action-oriented course - the Systems Transformation Pathway: Leadership for Just Futures. Our inaugural cohort of 24 students and 4 teachers are the first and currently only ones in the world piloting this new IBDP model.
