Alison has been the Head of Primary at La Côte International School, since it opened in 2008.

With her first degree in Psychology, she completed several post-graduate diplomas in special educational needs and specific learning difficulties. She was a SEND Coordinator in the UK before moving to Switzerland in 1999. She holds a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Management.

Alison is a passionate proponent of action research and has led a number of studies which have focused on the positive association between mindfulness and increased self-regulation in school social settings.

In recent years, Alison has facilitated leadership and management programmes for Nord Anglia Education, in addition to training courses in her school. Much of her work has been dedicated to developing and empowering others, in order to build effective teams. In collaboration with Jenny Ebermann, Alison undertook a school-based project aimed to capitalise on the strengths of individuals to help create exceptional group performance.
