An ex-teacher, Mark Grist is now a multi-award-winning poet and international battle rapper with over 60 million views for his poetry & rap videos online. Mark has been honoured in two categories at the Webby Awards, he's won two International Lovie Awards, been named Edinburgh Fringe Slam Champion and has toured hundreds of schools around the world with his work. 

Recently, Mark's work has appeared on BBC1, ITV, BBC Teach & BBC 6 music. He starred as the English teacher in Channel 4's Mr Drew's School for Boys as well as Redbull TV’s Mark Grist Battles The World. Mark is currently working on a picture book series with Bloomsbury. The first book in the series, Rhinos Don't Cry, is available to buy in shops & online & will also be available in French & Mandarin by the end of the year. When he isn't writing, Mark spends his time playing board games with friends & being bossed around by two very demanding pugs.
