Mia Eskelund Pedersen is a social entrepreneur and Co-founder and Co Executive Director of Amala Education. She graduated from UWC Mahindra College in 2007 and SOAS University in 2012 with a BSc in Arabic and Development Studies. With a belief that education really is the most powerful tool to create positive change, Mia found her footing in the space where education and social entrepreneurship intersects. She founded Amala Education in 2016, and together with the Amala team, she seeks to use the power of education to transform the lives of refugees, their communities and the world. Her role in Amala focuses on strategy, organisational development, programme management, team leadership and finance.
